Tennis Update: December 1, 2012

So, world-number 3 Serena Williams is named the WTA player of the year! Congrats to her! She deserves it, being a 30 year old on tour beating all of the younger players with no problem.
The other WTA awards included:
Comeback Player of the Year : Yaroslava Shvedova
Doubles Team of the Year: Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci
Newcomer of the Year: Laura Robson
Karen Krantzcke Sportsmanship Award : Kim Clijsters
Player Service Award : Venus Williams
Fan Favorite Singles Player: Agnieszka Radwanska
Fan Favorite Doubles Team: Serena and Venus Williams
Fan Favorite Twitter : Caroline Wozniacki

Andy Roddick and Andy Murray fans should not have to worry about not seeing them play tennis until January because they will be out in the South Florida playing an exhibition match. Being an exhibition, it will be very entertaining.
Oh and remember the last time I was telling you about how Azarenka's boyfriend fell of a balcony? Well he's fine now and will be returning to the tour soon. Good for him!
Also Robin Soderling will not be returning to tour soon because he is still as sick as he was when he first left. Sadness.
